From the end of the season to the lottery has felt like an eternity, but we now know where the Houston Rockets will be picking.
The Rockets will pick 3rd in the 2022 NBA Draft after the results were announced Tuesday night.
The good news is the Rockets will have an opportunity to select one of the big forwards — Gonzaga’s Chet Holmgren, Auburn’s Jabari Smith and Duke’s Paolo Banchero. The Rockets will very likely take the player left on the board after two of them are taken. High-upside, potential stars that might be considered include Purdue guard Jaden Ivey and Kentucky guard/wing Shaedon Sharpe, but the Rockets definitely could use a big.
The Orlando Magic landed the #1 pick with the Oklahoma City Thunder getting the #2 pick. The Sacramento Kings jumped up from #7 to the #4.
