The Rockets fell 116-115 to the New Orleans Pelicans Saturday night in the 2013-14 preseason opener, but the outcome of the game really wasn’t important. What mattered was that the Rockets’ starters, including Dwight Howard (19 points, 9 boards, 3 assists and a block), thrived.
