I’m excited about this. We’re launching our second podcast at ClutchFans today, with Lachard Binkley (BinkleyHoops) and Anthony Duckett (a_duckett) hosting the new Rocket Fuel podcast.
Lachard knows the Rockets. He is a longtime Houston Rockets diehard. His father used to watch Elvin Hayes, Calvin Murphy, and Moses Malone so he was watching Rockets hoops before he even knew what a basketball was. Lachard’s fandom goes back to the glory days of the Twin Towers, the titles, the Yao-TMac days and the James Harden era. He also covers the Rio Grande Valley Vipers so he has great access and insight on the Rockets minor-league squad.
Anthony is Houston to the core, born and raised, and loves to talk all things Rockets and Texans. He has written for Fansided, covering the NBA and NFL, for years.
David Weiner (BimaThug) and I will still be doing the ClutchFans podcast. We have been doing a podcast for 10-15 years now, but our infrequency in doing them is a bit of a punchline (and it’s getting harder to slip in Sergio Llull references). We should have one up after the lottery results later this month, but Lachard and AD are going to be bringing the heat a lot more frequently.
