Rick Adelman is making a rotation change… at least for now.
The Rockets coach said on Monday after practice that he’s going to get Jermaine Taylor some minutes and turn to Courtney Lee as the backup point, meaning Ish Smith will head to the bench.
“I just want to see how it works,” said Adelman. “It’s nothing against Ish, I just want to try for a little bit more size. Stuckey has good size at the point and this makes us bigger at the point.”
Adelman gave Taylor some minutes in the first half at Chicago, and he said he wants to keep trying that.
“He’s very athletic, very aggressive,” said Adelman of Taylor. “He hasn’t really had an opportunity and we’re trying to give people a chance to see what we can do.”
