In an article in the Tennessean, Dan Langhi, the 31st pick by Dallas and acquired by the Rockets on draft night for pick Eduardo Najera (#38) and a future second rounder spoke about the Rockets, who apparently lifted his spirits when he was informed he was a Rocket rather than a Maverick. "Houston is a much better fit for me," said Langhi. "I didn't know what to think about Dallas because I didn't work out for them and I didn't know anything about their personnel. I had worked out at Houston and liked all the coaches there, the facility, the atmosphere and they only have like one small forward there. They said I could play a multitude of positions when I was there. They said they really liked me and thought I could be successful in their system."
