Just hours before the draft and one solid rumor concerning the Rockets is picking up steam: Houston may be trading down and Etan Thomas may be the target. Jonathan Feigen spoke on this matter this morning on Sports 610. The Rockets do like the bulk/size Thomas provides and think he'd make a good "banger" on the front. There is still a shot at Jerome Moiso at #9 but a trade down could be more likely than just selecting Moiso. The question is: Who wants to trade up to #9 in the 10-14 range and what could the Rockets get in exchange? Also, don't look for the Rockets to use their exception in any trades as has been rumored. Apparently the trade offers to claim the cap exception from the Rockets have not been... shall we say, "fair", and the Rockets want to hold on to it as long as they can (it expires in October).
