According to a FOX Sports Rockets report, "The Pistons and Magic owe the Rockets first-round picks, but failed to convey the picks by this week's deadline. The Rockets were likely not waiting by the phone since both clubs made it clear they were going to hold on to their picks. But the deadline that passed only is the date by which teams must accept draft picks sent to complete a trade. If the Magic or Pistons choose to move a pick later, the Rockets would not have to accept it and would still be owed the pick. The only real possibility of that is if a team has an eye on a particular player, loses the chance to draft him and tries to dump the pick. But that's enough to have the Rockets still working to evaluate players they would not take at No. 9." ... the report also says teams speaking with the Rockets about Kelvin Cato "have come away believing the Rockets are not interested in moving him" and that Big K has been pretty dilligent in his workouts this offseason.
