T-Mac undergoes shoulder surgery
Tracy McGrady is holed up in Chicago, working on rehabbing his knee, but his days of medical procedures apparently weren't over.

The still-a-Rocket guard posted about his health status on his blog today, announcing that he underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left shoulder yesterday.

According to McGrady, the surgery was successful.

For those of you with medical knowledge, I had a left shoulder arthroscopic distal clavicle excision for long standing symptoms emanating from my acromioclavicular joint. For everyone else out there, I had a quick arthroscopic surgery to minimize some pain and discomfort in my left shoulder. Another big thanks to Dr. Brian Cole at Rush University Medical Center, who has taken excellent care of me through both of these surgeries. The shoulder surgery was timed so that I would be in good enough shape after the knee surgery to be able to rehabilitate both areas.

The shoulder issue was another problem T-Mac had going into last season, though the knee was what knocked him out. T-Mac opted for microfracture surgery on the knee back in February. He spoke also about his rehabilitation from that knee surgery, saying he is targeting to be back by training camp:

It's recovering well, and I'm right on track to where I should be at this point. I'm not running or doing much basketball related at this point, but I was able to start getting into the pool a few weeks ago. I'm aiming for training camp for my return, and working as hard as possible to be ready by then.
