Trailing by nine points with 8-9 minutes left against a 1-8 NBA squad didn't exactly make you feel all warm and fuzzy about the Rockets' chances of still playing ball in June, but it sure was nice to see what happened from that moment on.
Tracy McGrady hit four threes in the fourth, scoring 14 in the quarter alone. McGrady was 2-6 in the game and was virtually a non-factor before checking in with the Rockets down 9 with 8:38 to go. He was 5-6 from there.
Yao Ming, meanwhile, threw down one humiliating jam over rookie JaVale McGee.
