Griffin, Morris Agree Yao Will Have Big Impact
I got a chance to speak to Eddie Griffin after the Rockets Friday night win over the Suns, and spoke to Terence Morris after the Rockets' Saturday night loss to the Lakers.

Both were thrilled about the potential of Yao Ming on the Rockets.

Eddie felt that defensively, Ming's presence would be felt right away.

"I think he's going to have a big impact because he's going to take up a lot of space down there," said Griffin. "Guys are going to know that he's 7-6 and are going to be a little hesitant to go in there because they know how long he is."

Morris said despite the fact he and the guys haven't seen him yet, his presence will be a factor this season.

"We got an inside guy, a presence, who can score as well as provide defense and block shots," said Terence after scoring 13 points and grabbing 11 boards in the loss to LA. "We feel good about him coming to our team. We haven't seen him yet. We probably won't see him until some time in October, but it's good to have him on our team."

"I think he's going to make a big impact for us," reiterated Griffin.
