As Lloyd Bridges said in the movie Airplane, "Looks like I've picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue".
The Rockets committed 30 turnovers which led to 39 Kings points as Sacramento rolled over the Rockets 110-93 in Arco Arena
It was the Rockets' fourth straight loss, drops their record to 10-24 and puts them into a tie with Vancouver as the third-worst record in the league.
Chris Webber led the Kings with 26 points and 12 boards while Darrick Martin added 17.
I wish I could say the Rockets showed some improvement this game, but as Bill Worrell and Calvin Murphy said after the game, "these are the same mistakes the players were making at the beginning of the season"
Shandon Anderson (10 points, 7 boards), Walt Williams (9 points, 6 boards) and Steve Francis (16 points, 6 assists, 3 steals, just 5-18 shooting) combined for 17 of those turnovers, including 8 by Francis.
Carlos Rogers also hurt his hand in this one, though it is believed to be just a sprain. Hopefully he's fine -- Carlos scored 11 points on 5-12 shooting and grabbed 13 rebounds... including 7 off the offensive glass.
Cuttino Mobley came off the bench to score 14 points, grab 6 boards, hand out 4 assists and pick 4 steals, but he hit just 5-14 shots. Francis and Cat put up the most shots, but yet combined to hit just 10-32.
Pig Miller got the starting nod, with Walt relegated back to the bench again, and responded with 11 rebounds in the first half. He added just 1 more in the second half though and added 9 points.
The Rockets shot just 25% from long range, 40% from the field and you know the story on turnovers. They trailed just 48-41 at halftime, but the Kings opened up a 12-point lead after three. When Sacramento started out the fourth quarter with an 11-0 run, the rout was on.
