Off Shooting Night
Yao Ming hit just 7-19 shots, scoring 16 points, 13 boards and 3 blocks
Despite poor shooting performances from both Yao Ming and Steve Francis, the Rockets forced overtime in New Orleans, where the Hornets are undefeated.

But it wasn't enough.

The Rockets fell in overtime 98-96 Friday night.

Kenny Thomas led the Rockets with a season-high 29 points, but missed some key shots in OT. Francis added 24 and Yao had 16 and 13 boards.

The Rockets had a long shot chance late in overtime, trailing by three, but Moochie Norris inexplicably fouled Jamal Mashburn, he made both free throws with 23 seconds left and the Rockets couldn't do it from there.
