We want to send out again our special thanks to NBA Draft analyst Chris Monter, who stopped by Saturday afternoon to talk about the Draft and the Rockets with the clutchcity.net regulars. Over 50 people were bombarding him with live questions and he was banging out answers like a champ.

Cutting out all the rest, below are the questions taken by Chris:

Chris Monter: Hi, Guys. It is great to be with you today.

Pistons4Life: Do you think the pistons will draft Jamal Crawford at 14?
Chris Monter: Piston4life- Jamal Crawford is a logical pick at 14, but I think that he might go 13 (to Orlando). Mateen Cleaves is a possibility along with Mo Pete

Jamal Crawford
ChrisD: Hey Chris, who should the Rockets take, DerMarr Johnson or Jerome Moiso?
Chris Monter: ChrisD- Johnson is likely, although that could scare off Mobley, who the Rockets want to resign. Moiso has impresed with his strong workouts.

blastoff: Who will be the better player, DeMarr Johnson or Courtney Alexander?
Chris Monter: blastoff- I think it depends on what type of player you are looking for. alexander is a better scorer. Johnson is a better ballhandler.

Francis3: Good to have you here Chris... I got a question.. Do you think the rockets will trade up in the draft or are they going to stay put at 9?
Chris Monter: Francis3- I think that they would love to move up, but the question is what do they have that another team wants, making me think that they will end up still at 9.

Achebe: Chris, how would you compare the Rockets Kenny Thomas with Marcus Fizer?
Chris Monter: I think Fizer has a bit more strength and is a better perimeter player. Thomas can be a good player, if he keeps in shape.

HITMAN: How do you see Oyedeji? Who can you compare him to?
Chris Monter: Hitman- Oyedeji is a good rebounder, but is still a bit raw and limited offensively. He is somewhat comparable to Dale Davis

JT: First things first. Are the Nets planning to keep the #1 or are the trying to deal the pick?
Chris Monter: JT- I think that the Nets will likely keep the pick, but they will defintely listen to offers, since there is no dominant player in this draft

steviefranchise: Mr. Monter... Miles has amazing ability but his shot looked horrible!! Do you think that it will ever come around?
Chris Monter: stevefranchise-You are right. Miles has a ways to go to improve his outside shot, but he is a tremendous athlete with good ballhandling and passing skills.

Pistons4Life: CMonter, do you see the Pistons taking Chris Porter with their second round pick?
Chris Monter: I have Porter at 35 with Washington. Detroit picks later in the second at 44 and will likely go for the best available big man , maybe Dan McClintock

A-Train: So Chris, any second round sleepers?
Chris Monter: A-Train- Second round sleepers could be Craig Claxton, Indian Hills duo Ernest Brown and Cory Hightower

TheCat: Chris, it looks like Miller will go to Atlanta now. What other teams do you see in front of us that are also taking a hard look at Dermarr and possibly selecting him? Who might select him before 9?
Chris Monter: TheCat- Johnson figures to go in the 6-12 range, Houston is likely and I think Orlando and Boston would look hard at him, if he is still available.

Clutch: Chris -- if you hear a lot about Moiso going to the Rockets, can you tell us a little more about him? Knock seems to be he has the talent but doesn't care (?) or is very inconsistent?
Chris Monter: Clutch- Moiso has a long, rangy body with a good outside touch, if open. Moiso is more effective facing the basket than with his back to it and needs to get stronger. He is a good rebounder and is effective around the offensive glass. He is a good leaper, but should be a better shotblocker than he is. Moiso needs to improve his passing skills. Moiso is compared to Marcus Camby and Kevin Garnett, due to his frame. He could have used another year of college experience.

TheCat: Chris, do you see the Bulls taking Miles at 4? Because if they don't, i see it could change the lottery a good deal and perhaps have the Bulls take Dermarr at 7 if they don't take Miles.
Chris Monter: The Cat-You are right. If the Bulls pass on Miles, Orlando will grab him at 5. If they take Miles they can get Przybilla at 7.

RichRocket: Can you envision in any way Miles dropping to the Rockets?
Chris Monter: Richrocket- I see no way Miles is still there at 9, LA is considering him at 3 and either Chicago or Orlando will grab him

HITMAN: If Miller, Johnson and Moiso are there at #9 who will Houston draft?
Chris Monter: Hitman- I say Miller, Johnson then Moiso, but the final two are very close.

MManal: Chris - do you think the Magic would really take Miles at 5, considering he will need some time to develop his game and that Doc Rivers usually likes more developed players? Or is that just a smokescreen to scare the Bulls?
Chris Monter: MManal- I think that Miles is an ideal pick for the Magic, who have three first round picks.

terp: Chris, many people see DeShawn Stevenson as one of the best from this draft in a couple years.....should the Rockets trade down for him + pick?
Chris Monter: Terp- Stevenson is a versatile player with good scoring ability and athleticism. He has a pro body and a scorer’s mentality. He is a good ballhandler and has excellent shooting range. His supporting cast was not that strong and he was forced to carry too much of the load and sometimes forced bad shots. He needs to improve his shot selection, but he has a big upside. Stevenson averaged 30.4 points, 9.7 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game.

Sherlock1: Chris, How does the Tmac/Oneal/Thomas situation affect the drafting of Przybilla, and how would that affect Orlando and Chicago's picks?
Chris Monter: Sherlock1-I think who the Bulls could sign as free agents will have a big effect on who they draft. If they can get McGrady or Thomas will they draft Miles? That is a good question.

Monter felt for the Rockets it's a toss up between Jerome Moiso (left) and DerMarr Johnson
steviefranchise: Do you think the Rockets will use Bryce Drew to trade up?
Chris Monter: Stevefranchise- I am not sure what value Drew has in a trade up, to be honest.

Francis3: If the bulls take Miles at 4, will the magic go after Chris Mihm with the next pick?
Chris Monter: Francis3- If Miles goes 4, Mihm goes five and vice versa

JT: Chris, what are the chances of Ernest Brown being available when the Rockets pick in the 2nd round (#38)?
Chris Monter: JT- I have Brown in my newsletter at 38, but I am hearing more about Langhi and Granger as possiblities. Brown is somewhat similiar to Cato.

HITMAN: Do you think Dallas will go after a PG? If so who do you think they will go after?
Chris Monter: Hitman-Dallas reportedly likes Dooling, but I think 12 is a bit high.

Chavo: What do you know about Dalibor Bagaric?
(Also asked) How do you see this Croatian center, Bagaric? Do you think Houston can draft him with their second round pick?
Chris Monter: Bagaric worked out in Chicago yesterday and is a likely late first or early second rounder. remember, the Bulls have three second round picks. Houston could go for a shooter like Langhi or Granger or best available big man like Brown or Jabari Smith, maybe. As for Bagaric, he is a member of the Croatian National Team and some European experts rank him ahead of Tsakalidis. He has good size and strength. He is a good shooter, but still needs to work on his offense in the post. Bagaric can rebound and block shots. Needs to work on defensive footwork. Bagaric is a major talent who needs a few years to hone his skills. Should be drafted in the late first roun and early second roundrange.

HITMAN: Do you think Moiso can play small forward?
Chris Monter: Hitman-Moiso has the range and ball skills to play small forward. He has good quickness for his size, but whether he can stay with quicker players is a question.

Clutch: Chris -- perhaps this has been asked, but if it was your team, an expansion team, and you wanted one player out of this draft to build with, who would you choose with the #1 pick?
Chris Monter: Clutch- I like Martin if he is 100% and I think Swift and Miles have great potential to start a team with

A-Train: Which team will most likely trade their first rounder?
Chris Monter: A-Train- I think that Chicago and Orlando could make a trade. Dallas, Portland and Boston are possible movers.

Azim: Chris, do Martin, Swift or any other player have the potential to have the same impact as Brand and Francis had?
Chris Monter: Azim- I think several players will put very good numbers as rookies this season. Unfortunately, there is not a player who will turnaround a team.

DVauthrin: Who do you think the Rockets would draft if Miller, Moiso and Johnson were on the board and to who in the nba do Johnson and Miller compare
Chris Monter: DVauthrin- Miller, is likely but gone, so Johnson or Moiso is most likely

DraftGuru: I think the Blazers will try to move up in the draft. Where? I don't know.
Chris Monter: Draftguru- the Blazers would love Crawford and want him, but they might have to move into the lottery to get him.

HITMAN: Do you think Shane Battier is better now than Grant Hill was when he was at Duke?
Chris Monter: Hitman - I think that Battier is not as good as Hill, but I think he is a solid all-around player and will be a high pick next year
